9mm 45 Acp - Oh! That is the matter. This is the mother of all debates. Responsible for ending friendships, starting fights and multiple divorces, this argument will destroy your life. anything for what? So you can tell that the old timing between their 1911's wasn't the reason we won world war 2? I'm here to clear the air and help put this debate to rest, or rather, to provide you with insight into either side of the argument.
These two calibers have a cult following because of their success in the field, but which one is better? Or at least, maybe there's a better one for you?
9mm 45 Acp
I think the main issue in this argument is that both sides use a black and white approach to comparing the two cycles. Like anything, they both have their strengths and weaknesses; Because they were all developed at different times with different goals in mind. But which one is more relevant and better today?
Mm Vs 45 Acp
The 9mm is smaller, faster, compact and has better recoil than the .45. Because of these features, it is one of the most popular day trips on the planet. It has been adopted by nearly every military on the planet as a room for their side of choice and many police departments.
Currently serving the US military in the Sig P320 platform, the 9mm .40 is making its way back into FBI holsters after a close relationship with the S&W.
There is just something about the .45ACP that is scary. I can assure you that when you look at the side of the business, you will reconsider everything you are doing when you see a baseball hole in the barrel. This means that the .45 is old, slow, heavy and powerful. the official branch of the military from "back when the men were young"; The .45ACP has heaps of dead commissions to prove its effectiveness and efficiency. We've all heard the argument "it's more powerful than the 9mm". This is only partially true. There is no scientific test for "stopping power", although there is about 20% more power behind the .45.
What was originally thought of as a weak cartridge in the early 80's has arrived in the 9mm. With the Plus P rounds, modern rifles, and heavier bullets, the 9mm can give tough competition to the .45 in terms of self-defense capabilities. And while the development years were good for the 9mm, the R&D didn't stop with the .45ACP.
Mm Vs .45 Acp
This is where most of the debate centers. .45 advocates will say that the 9mm pierces just a small hole and goes through just fine, but the .45 will stop someone dead in their tracks. There is (unfortunately) no truth in this argument. Although the .45 ACP is about 20% more powerful than the 9mm, this is not as significant as it sounds. The truth is, guns are dangerous in civilian arrests, and if you don't panic, you can find videos of criminals who carry all but .45 magazines but don't stop, similar to 9mm. while .45
Giving you plenty of margin for error, most experts (such as FBI coroners) agree that there is almost no difference in operational risk between the two cycles.
Hands down it is a 9mm game. Ammo is cheap, and you can easily shoot more. We all love to shoot, and we all hate to think about the cost of shooting. The 9mm alleviates this concern, gives you the most affordable handgun out there, and gives you more time to hone your brand. And the most important thing in a life and death situation is to put down the guns. Where those shots are fought is secondary to everything else.
The 9mm is more accurate, and the .45 has a larger wound bridge. The performance is the same.

But if I were choosing it as a defensive weapon to carry every day, I would (and do) opt to carry the 9mm. In a self-defense situation you have the opportunity to shoot from long range, especially in a high risk situation I want as many extra rounds as possible. Follow-up shots are much faster and easier, and the new gold standard for putting one down is 5 shots in a 6" circle as quickly as possible. The small increase in char power and increased range is not worth the magazine and Sacrifice of rifle compatibility.(see previous article)
The best gun for you is the gun that suits you best. No matter what science and physics say, if you shoot one more accurately, consistently, and reliably than the other: buy one. Find things that make you feel safe, comfortable, and useful. Or just do what I recommend any patriotic, Second Amendment supporter, red-blooded American do: And buy them all.

.45ACP Ammo Has Long Been The Handgun For Self-Defense, But Does It Challenge The 9mm?
Retaining threat is an important factor in choosing ammo for personal defense. The goal is not to kill the incoming threat, but to ultimately deter the attack. However, the death of the attacker may be the result of your defensive actions. .45ACP ammo has been around and is a powerful round for defense, but organizations like the FBI are starting to convert their standard ammunition to the 9mm.
The 9mm round is much easier to handle. The minimal amount of recoil results in a more efficient and accurate shot compared to .45ACP ammo. However, there is no clear consensus on the debate between 9mm and .45ACP ammunition. Some experts and gun owners have made the switch from .45 to 9mm, while others remain loyal to .45ACP ammo.
Gun experts debate the advantages and disadvantages between a shorter, thicker bullet that allows the shooter to fire more rounds at a faster rate. Compared to larger bullets that do not require a higher percentage of accuracy at the cost of fewer cycles at the same time, it yields to the demands of the shooter. At the end of the day, the stopping power of these two wheels is more than enough to protect itself from damage. Let me know your thoughts and experiences between 9mm and .45ACP ammo

This is the subject of much debate. By the end of today's blog, you must have understood what we are talking about.
Some people think that the two calibers were developed for different purposes at different times but this is not true. Both calibers were designed to be efficient
The .45 ACP is revered as an American classic thanks to its Civil War roots from its predecessor, the .45 Colt Long cartridge. Its successor, the .45 ACP we know and love today, was developed in 1904. You'll usually find .45 ACP sold with cartridges. The full metal weighs 230gr and continues to be sold. The 9mm was developed in 1902 by an Austrian designer named Georg Luger, two years before the .45 caliber. Both calibers continued to be used in World War I and World War II. Although it had only been in development for two years, by the time World War I began artillery guns had already been established.
