While the rest of the base is setting everything up, the town of Kingsville is also preparing for the influx of visitors. Janine Reyes is the tourism director for the city and says the show is one of its main attractions.
Reyes said, "Four years ago it was estimated that we saw about 100,000 people over the weekend at NAS Kingsville for the Wings Over South Texas Air Show in downtown Kingsville. So as you can imagine It was a big deal." ,
First Blue Angels Jet Arrives In Kingsville For Airshow
There are restrictions on what you can and cannot bring to the event. The list includes coolers, large bags and packages. No animals are allowed unless it is a registered service animal. In addition, backpacks, drones and alcoholic beverages are also not allowed.
