9mm Handguns Reviews - Among the more interesting handguns I've reviewed over the years is the IWI Masada A product of Israel Arms Industries, the Masada is a striker-fired, polymer-framed gun.
The pistol is fully ambidextrous Slide lock and magazine release are on both sides It makes for good combat utility While I can't do as much as I can with my non-dominant hand, the controls on both sides of the handgun are equally positive.

I like the location of the magazine release While it is included to an extent, it is difficult to control The slide lock is secured by a seal on top of the slide lock frame I've seen a lot of shooters allow the slide lock to engage the thumb again

That will not happen with this gun Trigger action is tight with a 5.5 pound brake The action is excellent compared to other striker-fired guns The front and rear grip straps are coated in racing like skateboard tape, but not nearly as aggressive.
The edges of the handle are also treated This grip frame provides good friction and adhesion It has a slight curve on the backstrap Finger indents shorten the trigger
The frame and grip are designed for a smaller bore axis than most striker-fired handguns. High-visibility scenes are excellently designed These have white three-dot inserts There are three frame inserts to accommodate multiple hand sizes
Hammer mesh barrel has versatile rifling The barrel is 4.1 inches long The pistol has a robust heavy duty extractor The slide has both forward- and rear-cocking serrations They are necessary because the pistol has a heavy recoil spring
Gun Review: Ruger Max 9 Micro Compact 9mm Pistol
This makes the slide more difficult, but on the other hand the pistol was comfortable to fire with +P and +P+ bullets. The frame has a rail for mounting the battle light The trigger guard is large enough for glover hand use and the front is square
I especially love the takedown sequence I manipulate the lever handier than a GLOCK type takedown The trigger must be pressed and the piece de-cocked to field the handgrip
Note: Humans misplace their keys, stub their toes, and forget to zip up their trousers. Be careful when handling any firearm Check the first step to make sure the handgun is not loaded Do it the NRA way by checking the magazine first and then the chamber There are mental components and there are mental functions Stay sharp!
The pistol is chambered for 9mm Luger Magazine holds 17 rounds The last two cartridges are difficult to load This is good, because strong magazine springs ensure the reliability of the feed A big plus is that the pistol is optics-ready

A cover on the frame between the rear sight and the ejection port is removed and replaced with the appropriate mount. Another advantage is that the Masada is supplied with four polymer plates to accommodate multiple red dots
There is no consistency that makes mounting a red dot easy - everyone has a different footprint and uses different mounts. I used the Burris Fast Fire 3 during this evaluation, but relied primarily on the sights for early combat firing.
I added the red dot at the end of the test program I began the evaluation with a good supply of Winnipeg 115-grain FMJ ammunition With the magazine loaded, I drew from the slide on Uncle Mike's belt and faced the target.
The Masada is a comfortable gun to fire and use The trigger is smooth with a positive reset Sights provide excellent visibility The pistol was accurate enough for personal defense out to 25 yards
Sar 9x Platinum Striker Fired 9mm Pistol: Review
Most of the work with US ready loads was rapid work on man-sized targets at seven, 10 and 15 yards. This handgun responds well to the trained shooter Again slight and small face The trigger resets quickly The pistol shoots well
The inevitable comparison is to a GLOCK pistol The sights and trigger action are also good for GLOCKs, and I prefer the takedown. We'll have to see what kind of service Masada offers, but IWI is known for reliable equipment
The pistol was shot from a standing benchrest at 25 yards with Winnipeg's accurate and reliable 147-grain PDX loading. After I took my time and adjusted everything, the pistol drilled five holes less than three inches The piece is correct
Connecting Red Dot was almost simple and completed within minutes Remove the plate, place the correct red dot plate in the sight and pull it. With the Burris Fast Fire 3 installed, the Masada remains a compact and fast handling handgun.
Canik Tp9 Review: Budget Friendly Full Size
I loaded the magazine with the Winnipeg Red and zeroed in on a human-sized target at seven yards. The pistol is very fast and hits fast with red dot At 15 yards, the pistol took a few rounds to sight
The pistol proved to be very accurate when firing at slow speeds and the results were good I fired a lot of Winchester 115-grain Silvertip and Winchester 124-grain PDX+P with good results.
Israel follows a strict belief in self-defense with a wealth of positive programs They also provide a good medicine of red granules with their design Masada is an excellent choice for personal defense or service use

I have reviewed several 9mm pistols recently and last month published my top 9mm pistols in 5 categories here. But, some have asked for a list of recommended and reliable 9mm pistols under $300 Who will be trusted and personal security will be fulfilled So, I researched, shot, and tested several basic "no frills and extra features" pistols and came up with a list of the best 9mm value-for-money pistols under $300. These "won't hit the wallet" and provide basic functionality with sufficient firepower for self-defense. There are many 9mms under $300, but I only want to recommend those that I have no doubt about their accuracy, reliability, and value for the price given, considering my 10 criteria. Remember, I'm reviewing VALUE pistols, which can be had for less than $300 after purchase. I paid attention to what other trainers told me, what I learned from my research, and I respected the comments of the military and law enforcement. However, of course, my budget list is very subjective and therefore your list will be biased towards your experience, subjective opinion and criteria. One of my finalists was the Ruger Safety-9 and here is my evaluation and field test of it
New Subcompact Pistol Under Test: The Cz P 10 Micro In 9mm Luger Caliber
The Ruger Safety-9 pistol uses the same reliable "Secure Action" system as Ruger's successful LCP II with a clean, short and smooth trigger. The Ruger Safety-9 system uses an internal, cocked hammer instead of a striker-fired bar, which helps facilitate slide racking. It is a pre-cocked, hammer-operated double-action-only action For safety, the Ruger Safety-9 has a trigger safety, manual finger safety and a (recessed) hammer catch that prevents the pistol from firing unless the trigger is depressed. It has a Browning-type, tilting-barrel lock-up This solidly built value pistol has features typically found in much more expensive pistols and doesn't feel "cheap". As in striker-fired guns, the hammer is driven back by the rearward movement of the slide, similar to the striker. Depressing the trigger completes the hammer cock cycle to fire the pistol This creates single-action-type triggers
